Job Summary

This role is responsible for identifying and preventing Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) risks, as well as other functions as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review BSA/AML alerts, conduct suspicious activity investigations, and file CTR/SAR reports as needed.
  • Monitor accounts and transactions using various reports and the Bank's AML/Fraud monitoring software.
  • Analyze and research high-risk transactions to identify potential cases of fraud and money laundering.
  • Ensure timely completion of regulatory report submissions and customer monitoring functions.
  • Provide guidance and support to business and operations lines on BSA/Compliance and Fraud regulations.
  • Assist management in regulatory exams and uphold BSA-related standards.
  • Adhere to the Bank's confidentiality policy, code of ethics, and Consumer Compliance laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Federal and State Banking Regulations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Able to recognize operational and system control gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with a willingness to learn new software.
  • Self-motivated, professional, detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities.
Education and Experience
  • 1-3 years of similar or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Forensic Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional certification such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) preferred.
