Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Central Sterile Processing Department, ensuring optimal staffing, budget management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and generate reports to ensure service excellence.
  • Lead the hiring, training, and retention efforts for all SPD personnel, ensuring adherence to hospital policies.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget while promoting cost-effective practices and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Revise departmental procedures and evaluate new products and equipment for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish departmental goals and objectives, and implement educational programs for staff development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and communicate relevant information to the team.
  • Participate in infection control and quality assurance initiatives, attending relevant workshops and seminars.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures and new product integrations.
  • Demonstrate accountability through effective resource management in daily operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sterile processing management.
  • Proven track record in leading sterile processing departments.
