Job Summary

We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Release Engineer - Interior (Restraints) to lead the design and development of interior restraint systems for our electric vehicles. As a key member of our design team, you'll be responsible for creating innovative and functional designs that meet our high standards for quality, safety, and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage internal resources and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of interior restraint systems.
  • Develop and maintain design requirements, performance specifications, and design verification plans to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Work closely with studio designers to develop class-A surface themes that meet manufacturing feasibility, functional, and cost targets.
  • Lead supplier meetings, guide design reviews, and resolve cross-functional system and component issues.
  • Maintain EBOMs and manage data releases in accordance with program milestones and targets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in full-cycle automotive interior restraints development (or similar disciplines).
  • 3-5+ years of experience with 3D CAD software (CATIA V5 and/or V6 preferred).
  • Experience partnering with suppliers to deliver high-quality components.
  • Ability to self-direct and adapt quickly to program changes.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements.
Pay Disclosure

Salary Range: $107,800 - $134,800 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law).
