Dawson Federal is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to support our Stormwater Management Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project-specific Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and applicable environmental regulations and permits.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential environmental hazards and ensure compliance with SWPPP and other relevant regulations.
- Document all inspection findings and communicate them to project managers and program managers.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans and mitigation measures for any identified environmental issues or hazards.
- Coordinate with construction personnel to implement Best Management Practices to address issues impacting compliance.
- Attend pre-construction and field construction meetings to ensure compliance with SWPPP and other relevant regulations.
- Provide technical guidance to the project team regarding SWPPP and other environmental regulations.
- Maintain lists and databases of inspections and findings.
- Prepare and submit digital reports based on inspection findings.
- Assist with community outreach programs and engage with stakeholders to foster positive relationships and support environmental initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or equivalent experience in the environmental field.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience managing water permits in Kentucky and/or Tennessee.
- Minimum 3-5 years' construction inspection experience for NPDES permits.
- Certification in stormwater management or a related field is advantageous.
- Valid Driver's License, with ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier.
