Job Title: Lead Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our team at Long Island Select Healthcare Inc. (LISH). As a Lead Nurse, you will play a crucial role in coordinating nursing care, providing direct patient care, and supporting the continuum of care to meet the needs of our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage coverage for providers and respond to nursing call outs
  • Receive and manage telephone calls, ensuring timely and effective communication
  • Participate in daily huddles and manage review schedules to ensure seamless operations
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including the waiting room, office, and exam rooms
  • Perform monthly inspections of emergency equipment and supplies, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Provide relevant information about the PCMH program to patients, including brochures and program details
  • Participate in maintaining a safe work environment and adhere to agency policies and procedures
  • Order medical and lab supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels
  • Provide oversight for Quality Management and Infection Control at dedicated sites
Requirements:
  • Associates or better in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • RN licensure
  • 3 years of direct patient care experience
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred
  • Caring for Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled Population experience preferred
