Exercise Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team at Optum. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will be responsible for performing cardiac stress tests, interpreting electrocardiogram tracings, and providing patient care in our outpatient Pacemaker Clinic.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform cardiac stress tests, including obtaining exercising blood pressure and monitoring electrocardiogram throughout the exam.
- Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic responses to exercise and report them to the physician.
- Enroll, interrogate, and program outpatient pacemaker/ICD patients, recognizing pacemaker abnormalities, malfunctions, and replacement needed indicators.
- Coordinate and prioritize with other members of the healthcare team to respond to, plan, and initiate timely and efficient care.
- Provide emotional, physical well-being, and safety of all patients while maintaining strict standards of patient confidentiality.
- Document all abnormal findings, measurements, and dates necessary to complete the exam.
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology/Science, Cardiopulmonary Sciences, or related field.
- 6+ months of cardiac stress testing experience.
- EKG Certification or completion of within a year of hire.
- CPR certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart and cardiac medications.
- Proven ability to independently perform tests, good interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills.
