Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our Pre-Surgical Testing Clinic at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The ideal candidate will provide medical nutrition therapy for patients, conducting outpatient visits via telehealth and in-person.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and document nutritional data from patient medical records and evaluation instruments.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy for prevention and treatment of diseases.
  • Prepare special diet menus for patients requiring special dietary treatment.
  • Assess diets and nutritional status of patients throughout life cycle, providing nutrition counseling and education as appropriate.
  • Perform and manage nutrient analysis through use of computer, interacting with various health care team members.
  • Evaluate outcomes of nutrition interventions and develop/revised nutrition education materials.
  • Complete projects assigned by Pre-Surgery Testing Clinic Leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with focus in Dietetics.
  • One year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Licensed with the state of Texas as a Dietitian.
  • Licensure must be issued within 6 months of hire date.
