Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services to students and staff, including administering medications, treating injuries, and providing first aid.
  • Assess and manage student health needs, including developing and implementing individualized health plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student health information.
Requirements
  • State of CT Registered Nursing License
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Previous school nursing/substitute school nursing experience
  • Ability to function autonomously within guidelines, strong assessment skills, good communication skills, and familiarity and comfort with computer programs
  • A criminal background and Department of Children and Families (DCF) records checks
Working Conditions

PreK-8 elementary school and/or 9-12 high school- flexibility is required.
