Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider - Pulmonology Critical Care Medicine

OU Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team in Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine. As an APP, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, manage, educate, and coordinate care for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.
  • Work with administrative, nursing, physician, and university faculty to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient care.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and alter the plan of care as needed.
  • Provide care that is patient and family centered, compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the promotion of health, prevention of illness, and treatment of disease.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant Services.
  • 3 or more years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in designated specialty preferred.
  • Active RN and APNP license in State of Oklahoma, and certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC and/or the AANP, or active PA license in State of Oklahoma and certification issued by the NCCPA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, presentation, and epidemiology of medical conditions.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area.
