Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Tech is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during various cardiovascular procedures. This role requires a strong foundation in technical skills, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures in the Heart and Vascular Laboratory, including interventional coronary, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and interventional neurology.
  • Monitor and record patient data, including ECG, hemodynamic, and angiographic information.
  • Prepare patients for procedures using aseptic technique and ensure adherence to radiation safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in inventory and supply management, and maintain accurate documentation of patient records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a program in Cardiopulmonary Technology, Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Respiratory Therapy, Radiological Technology, EMS-P, Surgical Technology, or Cardiovascular Tech.
  • AART or RRT certification, depending on program background.
  • EMT-P certification for Paramedic program graduates.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card.
  • VI or RCIS or RCES or CI certification preferred.
  • NIH (Stroke) certification within one year of hire/transfer into Neuro Interventional Lab.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation.
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular and vascular anatomy.
  • Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office - Outlook and Word.
