Job Summary

X-ES is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our ERP development team. As a key member of our team, you will create and support systems that have a direct impact on the company's engineering, manufacturing, and financial success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fulfill the needs of your manufacturing, engineering, and finance stakeholders by refining their requirements into user stories and implementing them as high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Become knowledgeable in the business domains relevant to the software you build and operate.
  • Be a committed member of your self-organizing team by actively participating in team meetings and sharing responsibilities such as code reviews and fixing bugs.
  • Help your team to continuously improve by contributing to tooling, documentation, and development practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience writing production code in a professional setting.
  • Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate).
  • Proficiency with Python 3.
  • Previous experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORMs).
  • Familiar with modern development tools such as Git and GitLab/GitHub.
  • A basic knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques (e.g., unit testing with unittest/pytest).
  • Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous development experience with Odoo or other ERP systems.
  • Prior experience deploying and supporting software in a production environment.
  • Some experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, or other formal agile/project management methods.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
