Job Title: Information Systems Security Manager

Leidos is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Manager to join our team in San Diego, California.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to manage the security of our information systems, ensuring compliance with government regulations and industry standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, risk management, and system security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NIST 800-53A and customer regulations.
  • Conduct ongoing security reviews and tests of Windows and Linux systems to verify security features and controls.
  • Work with the ISSM to resolve identified vulnerabilities and promote awareness of security issues.
  • Recommend and implement training programs to ensure data users are aware of and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.
  • Review vulnerability and compliance scans and create remediation timelines for reporting purposes.
Requirements
  • Must have experience in auditing Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Possess an IAM Level 3 Certification (CISM, CISSP, etc).
  • Bachelor of Science in a related field and at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Active DoD TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Strong understanding of security controls contained within NIST 800-53A and NIST publications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • System Administration Experience with Linux, Windows, or Network Devices.
  • Experience developing RMF packages to attain an ATO declaration.

As an IA Subject Matter Expert (SME), the successful candidate will provide critical thinking to ensure system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
