What you'll do on a daily basis:
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical lead, driving the advancement of our detection and response initiatives by collaborating across various security domains.
  • Automation: Optimize manual response workflows to reduce engineering overhead and improve our response efficiency.
  • Threat Detection: Develop advanced detections to identify potential security threats, leveraging insights into attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Incident Management: Act as the primary incident commander, overseeing incident analysis and communicating potential risks and remediation strategies.
  • Collaborative Exercises: Collaborate with our Threat Intelligence and Offensive Security teams to conduct purple team drills, identifying and addressing our security vulnerabilities.
What you bring to the table:
  • 8+ years of experience in security operations, threat detection, incident response, or related security fields.
  • A proven history of leading or being a key member of a security team, including mentoring colleagues.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on objectively assessing security risks.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and/or other cloud infrastructure platforms.
  • Expertise in crafting detections from a wide range of log sources.
  • Proficient in using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or equivalents.

The expected salary range for this role is determined by the location where the work will be performed and aligns with one of three compensation zones. This position is also eligible for participation in a bonus plan and equity plan.
