Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Division at the South Carolina Bar.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong administrative skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the CLE Division, including assisting with live and online seminars, customer service, marketing, and general administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with course planning and execution, including coordinating with faculty, staff, and vendors.
  • Provide primary liaison support between the CLE Division and satellite seminar locations, ensuring smooth program execution and resolving technical issues as needed.
  • Send surveys to attendees, close electronic surveys, and compile results for submission to stakeholders.
  • Offer exceptional customer service to live and online seminar attendees, handling inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve as backup for Distance Education Director for online program and credit questions, as well as CLE Registrar.
  • Manage attendance reports, enter data into Excel spreadsheets, and submit timely reports to the Commission on CLE and Specialization.
  • Oversight of office equipment maintenance and supplies, including ordering, receiving, and distributing refreshments and supplies, as well as approving payments for invoices from vendors and equipment repair contractors.
  • Primary telephone relief for receptionist duties.
  • Assist Publications Director with manuscript proofreading.
  • Support CLE Director with correspondence to members, the Commission on CLE, and the Court.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • An Associate's degree or high school diploma/equivalent with two years' work experience.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with volunteers, customers, and the public.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet critical deadlines, and perform physically demanding tasks associated with office building and supply duties.
Benefits

The South Carolina Bar offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. This estimate may vary based on location and individual qualifications.
