Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Shipping Operations: Oversee the shipping process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and distribution centers.
  • Process and Package Products: Process and package products according to customer specifications, including etching, hot plastic dip, and individual wrapping.
  • Inspect Shipments: Inspect shipments for quality and accuracy, and ensure all outgoing shipments possess a work order packing slip.
  • Coordinate with Carriers: Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Prepare Export Documentation: Prepare and process export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
  • Maintain Inventory Records: Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits.
  • Coordinate with Production and Procurement Teams: Coordinate with production and procurement teams to manage inventory flow and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Ensure Accurate Shipping and Receiving Documents: Ensure all shipping and receiving documents are accurately completed and filed.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • State Motor Vehicle Operators Permit: State motor vehicle operators permit for operation of forklift highly preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
  • Basic Understanding of Logistics Procedures: Basic understanding of railway, dock, and warehouse procedures.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing Floor Environments: Manufacturing floor environments
  • Controlled Temperature Environments: Controlled temperature environments
Physical Requirements:
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
  • Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
  • Weather Conditions: Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
