Healthcare Reception and Billing Coordinator

About the Position:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Healthcare Reception and Billing Coordinator.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our billing team, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Collect and verify insurance information from patients.
  • Accurately enter patient demographic and insurance data into our billing system.
  • Assist with medical coding and billing as needed.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or redirect as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical billing and coding processes is required.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer skills is essential.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills are required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is necessary.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Hourly rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour.
  • Expected hours: 40 per week.
