Mechanical Systems Lead

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Power Plant Design Specialist to join our Mechanical Engineering department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for nuclear power plants.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems, including preparation and review of modification packages, functional drawings, and engineering analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the power industry, with a focus on mechanical systems design and development.
- Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to nuclear power plant design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is beneficial but not required.
- A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience.
