Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Project Engineer to join our team at the New York Power Authority. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for organizing project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on the status of projects, including cost, timing, and staffing.
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards.
  • Manage complex engineering projects, including personnel, safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and manage design documents, project presentations, and other project-related materials.
  • Partner with construction engineers, customers, and service providers to develop and negotiate contract change orders.
  • Review and contribute to all project documentation, including drawings, technical specifications, and assessment reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project/construction management, preferably in the utility, commercial, or related mechanical/electrical industries.
  • New York State Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 2 years.
What We Offer

The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $76,000 - $105,000, depending on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
