DLH Corporation is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our team in a closed-pharmacy production facility. As a PRN Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing verification of mail order prescriptions for our nation's veterans.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing drug orders, cross-matching medications, compounding and dispensing medications, and performing quality assurance functions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess drug orders and cross-match with medications presented at Checking Stations.
  • Compound and dispense medications.
  • Pre-verify medications loaded into highly specialized mechanical equipment.
  • Perform Quality Assurance functions and supervise Pharmacy Technicians.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university.
  • Must have a current, unrestricted pharmacist license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Minimum of one year of recent (within the past two years) experience as a licensed pharmacist.
  • Ability to obtain Vet Pro certification (credentialing system required of all VHA health care providers).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of citizenship or legal residency in the United States.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communications.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English.
  • Be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Be able to meet all regular hours and overtime hours that are required by the facility.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check. NO felony convictions.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening, including THC (marijuana).
