About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team at HPE. As a Sustaining Engineer for Enterprise Servers, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs, analyzes, develops, modifies, and evaluates electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
  • Conducts feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses, and empirical testing on new and modified designs.
  • Assists in architecture development and assessment.
  • Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production.
  • May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Typically 3-6 years of experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of fishbone analysis and 5C/8D process.
  • Experience working on complex hardware and system-level issues.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
