Focused on the design, development, and sustenance of enterprise server systems, this role requires expertise in electrical engineering principles, hardware design, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical design tools, software packages, and firmware development.
Key Responsibilities- Design, analyze, develop, modify, and evaluate electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses, and empirical testing on new and modified designs.
- Assist in architecture development and assessment, evaluating the reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production.
- Lead multiple project teams of electrical hardware engineers, extended engineering functional teams, and internal/outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of electrical hardware design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms.
- Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and system development.
- Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards, providing tangible feedback to improve product quality.
- Provide domain-specific expertise and overall electrical/electronic hardware and platform leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
- Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the electrical hardware design organization.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Typically 3-6 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical design tools, software packages, and firmware development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working on complex hardware and system-level issues.
- Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
