Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our Radiology team at Holy Name Medical Center. In this role, you will perform a variety of x-ray procedures, including fluoroscopy and operating c-arms, in both the Operating Room (OR) and Pain Management settings.

Responsibilities

  • Administer x-rays according to prescribed techniques, ensuring patient safety and optimal image quality.
  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and materials for patients, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Document fluoroscopy time accurately and schedule cases in our electronic system (IDX), resolving any exceptions promptly.
  • Prioritize patient and staff safety by adhering to ALARA principles and utilizing appropriate technique factors during x-ray procedures.
  • Ensure images are properly oriented, identified, and marked before transmission to our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Assist in identifying anatomical abnormalities on x-rays and communicate findings to radiologists for further evaluation.
  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives by compiling data for regulatory compliance.
  • Provide support with film library duties, including making copies of x-rays as needed.
  • Participate in the training of new staff members and students, sharing your expertise and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Experience preferred but not required.
  • Current and valid New Jersey licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • CPR certification.
