About the Role

Holy Name Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer x-rays using prescribed techniques and ensure proper patient positioning.
  • Prepare rooms, equipment, and materials for patients, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Document fluoro time and schedule cases in IDX, resolving exceptions as necessary.
  • Protect patients and staff from radiation exposure by utilizing proper technique factors and ALARA principles.
  • Ensure images are properly oriented, identified, and marked before transmitting to PACS.
  • Differentiate anatomical abnormalities and bring information to the attention of radiologists.
  • Compile Quality Assurance data for regulatory agency compliance.
  • Assist in making x-ray copies and performing other film library duties as needed.
  • Train new staff members and students in radiology procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining a commitment to patient care and departmental excellence.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of x-ray technology.
  • Current and valid NJ licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting.
