YOUR ROLE

As a vital member of our team, you will take pride in your contributions and support your colleagues. In the role of Janitor, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the facility, which includes offices, restrooms, break areas, and the production floor. You will effectively clean and sanitize using the appropriate chemicals and methods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (% of Time)

1. Maintain cleanliness in offices, restrooms, break rooms, locker areas, outdoor break areas, and the shop floor. Responsibilities include picking up debris, restocking supplies, sanitizing toilets, sinks, and surfaces, cleaning windows and mirrors, dusting, and floor care. (40%)

2. Manage waste disposal by removing trash and recyclables from the plant, office, and cafeteria. This includes separating recyclables and operating the compactor. (30%)

3. Perform floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing tile floors, and vacuuming carpets. (10%)

4. Clean windows and window sills. (10%)

5. Keep track of cleaning supplies and reorder as necessary. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS

If you possess the skills outlined above, you are well-suited for this position. Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:

- High School Diploma/GED preferred.

- Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will be provided upon hire) required.

- 3 years of relevant experience and/or training.

- Commitment to safety by consistently practicing safe work habits.

- Strong communication skills: effectively relay information and ensure understanding.

- Efficient time management skills to complete tasks effectively.

- Ability to operate a forklift, electric pallet jack, and compactor.

JOB STATUS

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
