YOUR ROLE

As a Janitor, you will be an essential member of our team, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of our facilities, including offices, restrooms, break areas, and the production floor. Your role will involve effectively cleaning and sanitizing using appropriate methods and materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Percentage of Time)

  • Maintain cleanliness in offices, restrooms, break rooms, locker areas, outdoor spaces, and the shop floor. Responsibilities include debris removal, restocking supplies, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning windows, dusting, and floor care. (40%)
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling in the plant, office, and cafeteria areas. This includes sorting recyclables and operating necessary equipment. (30%)
  • Oversee floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. (10%)
  • Clean windows and window sills. (10%)
  • Monitor supply inventory and place orders as needed. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

If you possess the skills outlined above, you are well-suited for this role. Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Certification in Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) is required (training provided upon hire).
  • Three years of relevant experience or training.
  • Strong safety awareness and the ability to promote a safe work environment.
  • Effective communication skills for relaying information and ensuring understanding.
  • Self-management skills to efficiently complete tasks.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and compactors.
