Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Control System Design Engineer to join our team at Hoffman & Hoffman. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the selection and creation of Building Automation System hardware design. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality designs that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and understand project mechanical, plumbing, and electrical plans, P&IDs, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Produce design packages using AutoCAD, ePlans, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Deliverables include: panel layout and design drawings, system wiring diagrams, equipment schematics & P&IDs, network layout and wiring diagrams, instrumentation and panel location drawings, material selection, tagging, and creation of a Bill of Materials/Instrument List, device and equipment schedules, and startup sheet development.
  • Provide technical support to the project field team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • Experience with AutoCAD software.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems.
  • Able to interpret plans, specs, and P&IDs.
  • Familiar with different PLC hardware including Rockwell, Siemens, etc.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive influence and ability to work on a team or independently as a self-starter.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Good communication skills.
