Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Design Engineer to join our team at Wood plc. As a key member of our consulting and engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for heavy industrial installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop single line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams for electrical systems.
  • Manage resources and plan electrical design projects.
  • Ensure quality control of all deliverables within the scope of electrical design.
  • Interface with project management and clients, and liaise with other project disciplines.
  • Prepare electrical equipment specifications, data sheets, and purchase requisitions.
  • Review vendor documents and assist in preparing power system cost estimates.
  • Build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers, and service providers.
  • Work with electrical engineers, technologists, and designers to provide electrical design and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • 10-25 years' experience in electrical design, preferably in consulting engineering in North America.
  • Experience with electrical system design, system studies, relay coordination, and protection and control.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulations used in North American electrical power and process industries.
