About the Role

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a highly skilled Staff Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our Remediation Department in Detroit. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with experienced professionals on a wide range of environmental investigation and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and supervise soil and groundwater collection, data analysis, and groundwater modeling on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, memorandums, work plans, and project specifications.
  • Assist with project scopes, schedules, budgets, and team member coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and regulators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.
  • Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) strongly preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience required. (6 years plus is highly preferred.) Previous consulting experience is a plus.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (and annual updates) is required.
