Job Title: Experienced Forklift Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced forklift mechanic to join our team at Argus Technical. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining powered industrial equipment, including forklifts and material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete all assigned service jobs with precision and dedication.
  • Collaborate with the Road Lead Technician to ensure effective communication on technical challenges or unusual service problems.
  • Attend service training classes to stay up-to-date on new products and refresh knowledge on less encountered ones.
  • Submit daily paperwork promptly, including timecards and maintenance reports with customer signatures.
  • Maintain open communication with dispatchers and the service office, updating them on job status and availability for new assignments.
  • Identify jobs that should be sent to our shop for repair, providing valuable recommendations based on complexity or safety reasons.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with territory sales representatives, keeping them informed of potential sales opportunities.
  • Always uphold safety rules and policies, ensuring a secure working environment.
Requirements:
  • Very good skills in repairing powered industrial equipment.
  • Strong customer orientation with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Time management expertise to handle multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with laptop fundamentals.
  • Ownership of necessary tools for repairs, per our recommended tool list.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Certification to operate material handling equipment.
