Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Advance - Global Australian Professionals. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing various functions within the Maintenance Department, ensuring the quality and safety of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities on production equipment, production support equipment, building, and grounds.
  • Operate a scissor lift and forklift, and perform lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues with production equipment, production support equipment, building, and grounds.
  • Perform corrective repairs to production equipment, production support equipment, building, and grounds.
  • Keep records of preventive maintenance activities and corrective repairs.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain a safe work area.
  • Assist in training new employees and carry out special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education and/or technical trade certificate.
  • Minimum three years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematic diagrams.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Ability to perform intermediate math skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrated mechanical skills/aptitude.
  • Experience with computer programs.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Bending: Must be able to bend to floor.
  • Reaching: Must be able to reach forward and above head.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual Dexterity: Must be able to perform repetitive hand movements.
  • Vision: Must be able to clearly read written instructions.
  • Hearing: Must be able to communicate with coworkers.
