Cardiovascular Services Director

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Director to lead our Cardiovascular Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall effective operation of the department, ensuring organization goals and objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-specific care standards as directed, and follow service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Comply with hospital/departmental policies and procedures, including attendance, mandatory education, safety, infection control, etc.
- Administer and analyze goals and objectives for work unit(s), meet organizational goals, and take proactive views to anticipate change and need for action.
- Prepare departmental budget, projecting reasonable activity levels and expenses required to achieve approved net margin for work unit(s), and operate work unit(s) within approved budget.
- Maintain compliance with current regulation/requirements of outside regulatory/accrediting agencies and assure that new requirements are identified on a timely basis and coordinates hospital compliance.
- Demonstrate understanding of Process Improvement, promote the systematic assessment and improvement of performance, and continuously assess and improve the performance of care and services provided by using information available from customers (i.e., patients, staff, physicians, and employees), to improve outcomes.
- Demonstrate high ethical standards in business practices, actively support organizational goals and changes as they occur, and communicate goals in a positive, supportive manner.
- Guide, direct, and plan the organization and coordination of the department activities in the areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrate effectiveness in the following areas:
- Selecting employees.
- Developing staff and preparing employees for career advancement.
- Provide continuous employee assessment with timely written evaluations and demonstrate ability to motivate employees, initiate progressive disciplinary action/termination when necessary, and keep turnover at an acceptable level in order to meet hospital turnover goals.
- Actively participate in Hospital and Departmental committees and group meetings with a focus on providing input regarding improving the quality of patient care services in the facility.
- Conduct monthly department meetings to keep staff informed, ensure a complete flow of information through the department, and comply with Employee Health and Injury policy/protocol, all emergency codes, disaster protocols, infection control protocols, and safety protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients and families served in relation to growth and development over the life span to identify their requirements relative to age-specific needs.

Requirements:
- FL RN license.
- BLS, ACLS.
- Associates Degree; Bachelor's Degree - preferred.
- 1+ yrs of ACUTE CARE DIRECTOR of cardiovascular services leadership REQUIRED *Would be open to manager experience if the candidate has several years of experience as a manager in cardiovascular unit *MUST HAVE CATH LAB DIRECTOR/ MANAGER EXPERIENCE.
- RCVT - preferred.
Additional Information:
- MUST BE an RN.
- Must have Director or Manager Cath Lab experience.
- 4 Labs w/Neurointerventional Suite w/Biplane Angiography, Electrophysiology EP / Echo.
- 20 FTE's.
Salary: $101k Min - $155k (Based on years experience)+ Leadership Incentive Bonus
