Job Summary

Banknote Corp of America is seeking a skilled Security Document Printer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating a web offset press to print high-quality security documents that meet or exceed customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a web offset press to print security documents, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot printing issues, collaborating with maintenance, prepress, ink department, and management as needed.
  • Supervise the work of 2nd press operator and press helper, including loading paper, obtaining chemicals, and washing the press.
  • Monitor and adjust the register as required to ensure optimal print quality.
  • Maintain accurate operating and malfunction/downtime logs, as well as production documentation in the Seradex ERP system.
  • Adhere to quality standards, perform quality checks, and enter Quality Non-Conformances (QNCRs) into the Intelex system.
  • Review images regularly for color, quality, and compliance issues, providing feedback to management.
  • Provide guidance and training to press operators within BCA, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of printing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with post-press operations, including bindery and finishing.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, for training and operational purposes.
  • Occasional requests to fill in for absences may be made, with proper notice.
  • Basic math skills, including weights, measures, fractions, and decimals.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent color vision and ability to work on any shift, including 12-hour shifts.
  • Strong commitment to security and safety protocols.
