Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Representative to join our team at J.F. Shea Family of Companies. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our new homes to customers, while providing exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the company in all aspects of sales and marketing, including competitive market analysis, promotion and marketing activities, and sales and contract/backlog management.
  • Provide advice to customers and recommend products that fit their financial and family needs.
  • Facilitate the entire sales process by acting as liaison with customers and coordinating with sales/marketing, construction, customer service, design center, mortgage, escrow, and administrative teams.
  • Explain sales documents and attachments to customers and work closely with lenders to ensure a smooth escrow process.
  • Respond to customer concerns during the construction process and work with construction, customer service, and design center to correct any problems and facilitate a timely closing process.
  • Provide excellent customer service to homebuyers and internal customers, ensuring their safety and security while on site.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with all internal and external customers and represent the company in the market, staying knowledgeable about the market and customer needs.
  • Investigate competitor practices and incorporate that information into marketing and promotional activities.
  • Comply with DRE and other state regulations for real estate sales by reviewing sales documents and community disclosures for accuracy and providing compliance feedback.
  • Establish and achieve sales goals consistent with company goals, self-prospecting and developing a follow-up program to turn prospects into buyers.
  • Provide continual evaluation of company policies, processes, and procedures, suggesting methods to improve area operations, efficiency, and service to both internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college/business or professional training preferred.
  • Computer literate in MS Suite, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • 2-4 years of experience in completing new home sales transactions.
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relations with trades, internal, and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize responsibilities to consistently meet deadlines.
