Responsibilities:
  • Deliver advanced professional and technical nursing care to adult and geriatric surgical patients during the immediate post-surgical period.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary personnel to ensure age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards.
  • Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of patients, including preparing equipment and assisting physicians during treatments and examinations.
  • Act as a resource to meet department needs, including functioning as a preceptor to new employees and functioning as a charge nurse when needed.
  • Work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
  • Current Florida RN License
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Current ACLS Certification
  • One year Post-operative experience required
  • Effective oral communication skills in the English language
