Vista Del Mar Child & Family Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Educational Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the teacher in developing and implementing curriculum and behavior modification systems for emotionally disturbed children and adolescents.
- Collect and analyze data for treatment plan reviews, progress reports, and other student-related data.
- Interact and intervene with students effectively, developing positive relationships and engaging them in academic and therapeutic activities.
- Assist the teacher in creating lesson plans, quizzes, and tests, and grading student assignments.
- Provide one-on-one support to students and work with small groups to promote academic and social growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Valid California driver's license and current automobile insurance.
- California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) certification or 30-day Substitute Credential.
- Experience working with autistic and emotionally disturbed children is preferred but not required.
- A competitive hourly rate of $19-$21.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
