IT Systems Administrator Job Description

iWorld Professionals is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team in Rochester NY. As the primary point of contact for IT infrastructure management, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and availability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Management: Design, configure, and manage our network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Security: Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures, monitor security systems, and respond to security incidents.
  • Active Directory: Manage and maintain Active Directory infrastructure, including user accounts, group policies, and domain controllers.
  • Database Administration: Administer and maintain our company databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize our Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, implementing and maintaining cloud-based solutions to support business operations.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and policies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role with a minimum of 3 years experience in a comparable role.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.
  • Expertise in IT security practices and tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration.
  • Proficient in database management and SQL.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are a plus.
