This role offers an hourly wage of $21 plus tips.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Adhere to the established opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of service at all times.
- Collaborate with the Maître 'd and management to warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure, demonstrating appreciation through eye contact and a genuine smile.
- Ensure the dining area and host station are impeccably maintained and organized.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings to assist guests as required.
- Provide courteous and efficient assistance to both guests and team members.
- Appropriately use guests' names and communicate this information to restaurant staff while assisting with seating arrangements.
- Support restaurant colleagues in preparation for service.
- Relay important guest information (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries, special requests) to relevant team members.
- Utilize the Guest Movement chat group to share pertinent guest movement updates.
- Coordinate set menus for small gatherings and distribute event forms accordingly.
- Inform restaurant management of daily reservation forecasts.
- Share details of upcoming events with the Concierge team.
- Assist in monitoring and fulfilling all guest needs.
- Confirm daily reservations.
- Document guest preferences for future reference.
- Review regular guest preferences daily and maintain a record for service staff.
- Assist with coat check duties as necessary.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a luxury hotel or similar restaurant environment.
- Availability to work weekends and maintain flexible scheduling.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere focused on guest satisfaction.
- Openness to constructive feedback and ability to work collaboratively.
- Positive, engaging, and energetic demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs.
- Highly organized with effective time management skills, capable of working independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong people skills and the ability to work under pressure with various stakeholders.
- Professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous.
- Familiarity with SevenRooms is preferred.
- TIPS Certification is required.
