About the ProgramOur 12-month program is designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to succeed as a RN Joint Replacement. Through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on training, and mentorship, you'll gain a deep understanding of the latest techniques and technologies in joint replacement surgery.
As a resident, you'll work closely with experienced nurses and physicians to develop your clinical skills and critical thinking abilities. You'll also have the opportunity to participate in evidence-based practice projects and contribute to the development of our hospital's quality improvement initiatives.
What You'll Learn- Advanced clinical training in joint replacement surgery
- Monthly educational sessions on topics such as patient assessment, surgical techniques, and post-operative care
- Preceptorship training with experienced nurses and physicians
- Measurement and evaluation of skills through hands-on simulations
- Mentoring from experienced nurse leaders
- Working collaboratively on an evidence-based practice project

To be eligible for our Nurse Residency Program, you'll need to have:
- A current RN license in the state of Virginia
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment
