Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at University Hospitals Pediatrics Ambulatory. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process.
  • Function in accordance with the professional standards of the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Complete and submit required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Deliver effective relationship-based nursing care and demonstrate technical skills in care delivery.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of self-awareness and contribute to the professional practice of nursing.
  • Display leadership skills that influence optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nurse program or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
  • 2+ years of nursing experience (Level II only).
  • Knowledge of LPN scope of practice according to the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 18 CNEs per year (Level II only).
  • 3 CNEs in clinical specialty (Level II only).
  • At least 5 CNEs in Leadership (Level II only).
Physical Demands

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ability to push, pull, and carry objects is also required. The role involves frequent use of hands and fingers, as well as repetitive motions.

Travel Requirements

This role requires occasional travel, approximately 10% of the time.
