Pioneer Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Energy & Utilities Director, Commercial Services to join our team. As a key member of our commercial services team, you will be responsible for leading complex client work, managing a team focused on contract management and major material procurement, and developing comprehensive procurement plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex client work focused on commercial services, including contract management and major material procurement.
  • Manage a team of consultants, providing coaching, performance management, talent planning, and succession planning to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.
  • Develop comprehensive procurement plans, ensuring milestone alignment and identification of risks.
  • Collaborate with business development and practice leadership to identify and scope opportunities, develop proposals, and build relationships with existing clients and new ones.
  • Optimize service delivery and nurture client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in the energy and infrastructure domain.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of internal or external consulting experience required.
  • 5+ years of energy industry experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience with project/program management, contract management, or procurement, ideally within the utilities industry.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) preferred.
  • Experience leading teams, identifying enterprise needs, driving resolution, and holding team members accountable.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with executive stakeholders (verbal and written).
  • Track record of successfully fostering client account growth and development.
  • Proven skills in the identification and resolution of client challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and win new opportunities and hit revenue targets.
