Job Overview

Xcel Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Renewables Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and providing technical expertise in the field of renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple projects, including research, design, equipment selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to engineers, technicians, and other support staff.
  • Represent the organization as the prime technical contact in bid/evaluation processes and interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters.
  • Develop and implement new or improved techniques, procedures, and standards.
  • Support the development of technical documentation, including designs, testing, calculations, reports, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited curriculum or recognized equivalency.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering) certification.
  • Ability to demonstrate unique technical skills and core competencies for this engineering level.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) registration may be required depending on business need.
