Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse to join our team at Ansible Government Solutions. As a Cardiac Cath Lab RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Monitor and examine patients prior to procedures, as well as during and after. Administer medications and assist the medical team as needed.
  • Procedure Preparation: Prepare the patient and the surgical field in a sterile manner, selecting required instruments, catheters, guide wires, and ancillary equipment necessary for the procedure.
  • Assisting the Medical Team: Assist with catheter exchanges, injections, and balloon dilation. Provide venous access via initiation of an intravenous (IV) line.
  • Care for Patients with Invasive Hemodynamic Support Equipment: Care for patients requiring invasive hemodynamic support equipment, including an intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) or an Impella.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Influence care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Communicate effectively with people of varied educational levels and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Teamwork and Quality Improvement: Work cooperatively as a member of a team in all assignments. Participate in unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives, as well as customer service programs.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN).
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and American Health Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN work experience is required.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting, Standing, Walking: Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift.
  • Lifting: Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
  • Carrying: Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
