Position Compensation:
$112.22 per hour

Key Responsibilities
The services provided in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory will adhere to the established protocols of the healthcare system. Major responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Administering medications and supporting the medical team as required.
  • Preparing patients and surgical areas in a sterile environment, selecting necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Assisting with catheter exchanges, injections, and balloon dilation procedures.
  • Establishing venous access through intravenous (IV) line initiation.
  • Providing care for patients utilizing invasive hemodynamic support devices, including intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) or Impella.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to influence positive care outcomes.
  • Communicating effectively with individuals from diverse educational and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team in all assignments.
  • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives and customer service programs at the unit or program level.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN).
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state or territory of the United States.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab RN.

Physical Requirements
All candidates must be capable of:

  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, and reaching overhead during the work shift.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
  • Lifting up to 20 lbs and carrying up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
  • Exerting a push/pull force of 30 lbs.
