We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our Pharmacy Department, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, operating pharmacy systems, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including dispensing medications and providing patient counseling.
  • Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and manage inventory.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Lead and coach pharmacy technicians and cashiers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to pharmacy operations, customer service, and inventory management.
Requirements
  • PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer basic math skills (counting, measuring and weighing medications).
  • Prefer basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents and/or access information on-line).
  • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
