MRI Imaging Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using MRI equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Key Responsibilities

1. Verify patient identification and obtain patient history.
2. Operate MRI scanners and administer contrast media as needed.
3. Interpret protocols and select appropriate scanning parameters.
4. Transmit images to the quality control station and verify their accuracy.
5. Perform other duties as required, including maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences, American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists, or registry eligibility.
• Advanced certification in MR within one year of employment.
• Current competency in HCP BLS.
