Role Overview:
As a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager on various assignments and serve as the crucial link between on-site operations and office functions.

Your responsibilities will include defining project goals by planning, executing, and finalizing tasks in accordance with the established timeline while adhering to budget constraints.


Key Responsibilities:
Provide close assistance to the senior project management team.

Build project teams that deliver high-quality results, meet client expectations, manage project scope, and ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.

Develop and enhance project management strategies, scheduling objectives, procurement and contractual obligations, personnel assignments, and capacity planning.

Continuously assess and refine the systems and processes utilized by the department to effectively fulfill customer needs and profitability targets, emphasizing robust internal tracking methods.

Guide, mentor, and develop team members.
Ensure adherence to scheduling requirements, readily adjusting priorities and milestones in response to evolving client needs, resource availability, and project demands.
Engage with clients to confirm that expectations are clearly understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide comprehensive support and oversight for third-party construction firms and subcontractors.
Manage the project review process with a strong focus on financial forecasting.
Guarantee high-quality engineering, analysis, and project delivery by Helix.
Proactively communicate challenges, risks, and achievements.
Oversee the monthly invoicing process according to project agreements and negotiate necessary change orders.
Coordinate with Site Superintendents to assess installation techniques, labor requirements, and workforce forecasts.
Provide close support and oversight to ensure compliance with the Quality Control process.
Ensure that all downstream team members meet deadlines for assigned tasks.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a project engineer in heavy commercial or private electrical construction.
Understanding of engineering principles in electric power.
Field experience in collaboration with construction management.
Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
Proven ability to cultivate relationships and contribute to securing projects.
Demonstrated capability to effectively manage a profitable portfolio.
Exceptional initiative, execution, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Outstanding analytical, motivational, and leadership abilities.
Degrees in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management are highly preferred.
Possession of a Journeyman or Master Electrician's license is a plus.
