Position Overview

Gray Hawk Land Solutions is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Senior Right-of-Way Specialist. This position requires a proactive individual capable of executing the following responsibilities with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster and sustain positive relationships with landowners and local governmental bodies.
  • Exhibit professionalism and integrity while representing both the client and oneself, effectively engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds and defusing challenging situations.
  • Negotiate terms for land agreements, including surface use contracts, pipeline rights of way, and easements, while addressing surface damages and ensuring access to company resources.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of land use agreements, easements, pipeline rights of way, land titles, and relevant governmental regulations pertaining to right-of-way operations.
  • Conduct both internal and external title research independently.
  • Utilize mapping software (GIS, Google Earth) proficiently, with the ability to plot deeds and learn client-specific mapping systems.
  • Interpret technical drawings and make necessary annotations (including alignment drawings, certified property plats, permit drawings, temporary workspace drawings, and construction access drawings).
  • Navigating various client databases effectively.
  • Perform online research competently.
  • Demonstrate advanced computer skills through the proficient use of software such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and database management.
  • Work effectively in both collaborative and independent settings.
  • Experience with geoAMPS, Pandell Projects, and ESRI GIS software is advantageous.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the right-of-way sector.
  • A Bachelor's Degree, Technical Diploma, or a High School diploma.
