Job Summary

Northern Clearing Inc., a leading provider of right of way clearing services, is seeking a highly skilled Field Safety/Training Representative to join their team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction safety, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate personnel in advancing the safety culture through an established Health and Safety Management System.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support in the development and execution of an effective safety culture and programs, as well as monitoring safety compliance with our established Health and Safety Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety training programs for new employees and existing staff
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company and client safety expectations
  • Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses, and document findings and recommendations for improvement
  • Provide emergency response support and guidance as needed
  • Collaborate with management and staff to identify and address safety concerns and develop strategies for improvement

Requirements:

  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience in construction safety
  • Degree, Diploma, or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Well-versed and comfortable on a computer
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
