Job Summary

As a Ready Mix Truck Driver at CEMEX, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete products to various construction sites. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the ready-mix truck to and from delivery locations, adhering to DOT regulations and area road conditions.
  • Check loads to ensure proper and safe transportation of concrete products.
  • Estimate the slump of concrete and distinguish between proper and improper mixes.
  • Verify delivery instructions with plant personnel to ensure accurate delivery to customers and job sites.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to maximize opportunities for CEMEX.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the truck and equipment.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies.
  • Assist other company employees as needed.
Requirements
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A or B).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR records.
  • High school diploma preferred.
Working Conditions

Continuous exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and working outdoors. Must wear protective equipment while on the job site.

Physical Requirements

Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree. Heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
