About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Specialist to join our team at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating project tasks, managing accounting responsibilities, and facilitating progress action items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project tasks, including meetings, agendas, and decision matrices
  • Review and track invoices and payments, generate labor reports, and perform financial analysis
  • Utilize Deltek-Vision software to create and maintain work plans
  • Facilitate progress action items during proposals, design, tender, and CA phases
  • Contribute to marketing and proposal tasks, including reviewing RFP and RFQ documents, editing project descriptions, and coordinating with multiple departments
  • Draft and create contracts and related agreements with clients and subconsultants
  • Update, review, maintain, and archive project data
  • Identify, organize, and implement project coordination independently
  • Maintain multiple workflow schedules, including expense reports, timecards, and team travel arrangements
  • Coordinate with project teams to compile detailed project reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree desirable
  • Minimum 4 years' professional work experience in an office environment, preferably in architecture, engineering, or construction
  • Proven work ethic, ability to anticipate needs, and exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Strong proofreading skills, attention to detail, and ability to review calculations and spreadsheets
  • Excellent time management skills, including ability to track multiple project workflows and associated deadlines
  • Prior financial, accounting, or bookkeeping experience
